Guitar pedals aren’t just for guitars, and the Julianna Deluxe is a perfect case-in-point. This stereo chorus and vibrato pedal creates fantastic results paired with your synthesizer, sampler, or drum machine in the studio. While its controls may look pretty standard, this thing packs a whole-lot of flexibility and tone-shaping controls in a standard pedal sized enclosure. You’ve got two LFOs that can be assigned to each other to create lush and wide choruses, subtle or wild vibratos, and everything in between. The Julianna Deluxe also lets you use both outputs (mono & stereo) to stack your signal making your sounds huge, allowing you to control the stereo image as well.
I fed a bunch of samples from my trusty S2400 through the Julianna Deluxe to test out it’s various tones and see what kind of effects I could get on the way into my DAW. There’s LOTS of nuance in this thing. It can be wild or subtle. I was pleasantly surprised at how it made my samples ‘sit in the mix’ with drums. Check the video and listen for yourself!
