Learning the S2400, Thoughts, and Some Sounds // Isla Instruments S2400

Alright- some of the people on the S2400 forum were requesting those of us who had our units make more video content for them to watch while they were waiting for their units. I’ve never actually made a video before actually learning a piece of gear inside and out, but in this instance I thought it would be fun to talk about why I’m excited about this thing, make some sounds on it, and let you all watch me fumble my way through working with it.

Here’s the thing- for me, this is a piece of gear that I’ve dreamed about owning for well over a decade, and the team over at Isla Instruments finally made it, so this is not a piece of gear that I’ll try and sell for something else. It truly is a something that I’ll most likely have for life and so I will without a doubt be making LOTS of videos on it- tutorials, performances, etc. This video is just the start and meant to be taken lightly. You may learn a thing or two (hopefully) but it’s NOT a tutorial. I’m just sharing with all of you why I’m so excited about it and showing you some of the sounds I’ve made so far while learning the machine. More of a vlog post really. It really is a magnificent, special hardware sampler, and it was a long wait for it to arrive, so I hope you all can share in my excitement. Enjoy!
