Making DJ Mixes in Ableton // Free DJ Channel Preset // Varying BPM & Ducking Vocals

Making a stellar DJ mix shouldn’t be locked to having CDJs and a mixer. In this video I’ll show you how to make them in Ableton Live by stitching songs together- warping tracks, locking them to the grid, BPM automating, adjusting EQ, gain, filter, and adding effects between different genres of music. In this tutorial I’ve gone from 127 BPM House music to 127 BPM Drum & Bass.
I’ve also utilized a custom “DJ Mixer Channel Audio Effects Rack” that includes all the standard effects that would be on a DJ mixer, and features XFer Record’s DJM Filter VST plugin to further emulate mixing on an actual mixer.
Make sure you download and install the XFer Records DJM Filter for the DJ Mixer device rack to work properly!
